KillStreaks

Make every PvP kill count, with named tiers and real rewards.

KillStreaks tracks PvP kill streaks and pays point bonuses at named tiers like Killing Spree and Legendary, with a shout across the server for every big run.

Three kills in a row and the whole server hears about it. Killing Spree. Keep the run alive and the titles climb through Rampage, Dominating and Unstoppable, all the way to Legendary. KillStreaks shouts each tier by name and drops points in the player's pocket. First blood pays, revenge on your nemesis pays, and ending somebody else's long run pays best of all. Streaks still work with nothing else installed.

Supported Features

  • Tiers with names: each milestone gets a title, a shout across the server and a point bonus. The defaults run from 3 for Killing Spree up to 25 for Legendary, and every number, name and payout is yours.
  • First blood: the first player kill after the server comes up gets called out and pays a one time bonus.
  • Nemesis and revenge: whoever ended your last streak becomes your nemesis, and killing them back pays a revenge bonus. It makes grudges into content.
  • A bounty for the shutdown: end somebody else's big run and earn points scaled to the streak you broke, up to a cap you set.
  • No kill trading: kill the same player again too soon and that kill builds nothing and pays nothing, so two friends cannot farm each other for points.
  • Only players end a streak: switch on the PvP only setting and a dino, a fall or a bad landing never breaks a run. Only a rival can do that.
  • Tribe mates do not count: kills inside a tribe build no streak, so a tribe cannot feed its own leaderboard.
  • The server record: when somebody passes the best streak your server has ever seen, everybody online is told.
  • A cap per life: one run can only earn so many milestone points, so a monster streak cannot drain your economy.
  • A leaderboard: players check the best streaks with one command, and you choose how many rows show.
  • Discord highlights: milestones, first blood and revenge go to one webhook, while shutdowns and new records can go to a separate alert channel.
  • Fine without the extras: ArkShop, Permissions and Discord are each optional. With them off, streaks still track and still shout, just for pride instead of points.
  • Your language on every shout: name a language in the config and the tier names and messages come from a plain text file you can edit, so the server shouts in words your players use.

Console & RCON Commands

Command What It Does Where
KillStreaks.Reload Read config.json again with no restart. Both
KillStreaks.Reset <eos> Clear the streak and stats for one player by EOS id. Console
KillStreaks.TestDiscord Send a test post so you can check your webhook. Console

Player Commands

Player command names live in config.json, so rename them or blank one out to switch it off.

Command What It Does
/streak Show your streak and your stats. Add a player name to look at somebody else.
/topstreaks Show the best streaks on the server.

Permissions

Node What It Unlocks
KillStreaks.Admin Lets an RCON caller run the admin commands.

The server console is always trusted, so the admin commands work there with no setup at all. The node only matters for an RCON caller, and with no Permissions plugin installed the console still works exactly as it should.

Config

To see every configuration option, visit our docs. To edit your config files the easy way, open our configuration editor.

Requirements

  • AsaApi v2.01 or newer
  • A Windows server running ArkAscendedServer through the AsaApi loader
  • ArkShop or WShop (optional, and no points are paid while neither one is running)
  • Permissions (optional, works without it, since the console stays trusted)
  • A Discord webhook (optional, works without it)

Installation

  1. Unzip the download and drop the KillStreaks folder into ArkApi/Plugins/, so the DLL sits at ArkApi/Plugins/KillStreaks/KillStreaks.dll. The loader wants the folder to carry the same name as the DLL.
  2. Open KillStreaks/config.json and pick your tiers, your payouts and your command names.
  3. Want Discord posts? Set Enabled to true in discord.json and drop in your webhook URL.
  4. Restart the server through AsaApiLoader.exe.
  5. Look for the loaded line in ArkApi.log, then go and start a fight.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does KillStreaks do?

KillStreaks counts how many players somebody kills in a row and makes a moment out of it. Each named tier shouts across the server and pays a point bonus, and there are extra rewards for first blood, for revenge on your nemesis, and for ending a long run somebody else was on.

How do I install KillStreaks?

Unzip the download and drop the KillStreaks folder into ArkApi/Plugins/, keeping the folder name so it matches the DLL. Pick your tiers in config.json, then restart the server through the AsaApi loader and look for the loaded line in ArkApi.log.

What actually counts toward a streak?

Player kills, and nothing else. With the PvP only setting on, a dino, a fall or a silly mistake never ends a run, so only a rival can stop you. Tribe mate kills stay out of the count too, so a tribe cannot feed itself points.

Can two players trade kills to farm points?

Not for long. A cooldown blocks repeat kills on the same target inside a window, so a trading loop builds nothing and pays nothing. There is also a cap on what one life can earn, so even an honest streak cannot drain your economy.

Does it need ArkShop?

No. KillStreaks pays its bonuses through ArkShop or WShop, so pick the one you already run and name it in the config. With no shop at all the plugin still tracks every streak and still shouts the milestones, the first blood and the records. Only the points stay at zero, so the tiers run on pride until a shop turns up.

Can I rename the tiers and change the payouts?

Yes. The milestone counts, the names and the bonuses are three lists in config.json that line up by position, so slot one holds the kill count, the title and the points for the first tier. Keep the three lists the same length and you can build any ladder you like.

Was any AI content used in the making of this?

The source code itself was fully created by myself. I do use ChatGPT occasionally to generate product images, and I do use ChatGPT to generate the website descriptions. I do this because I don't speak native English perfectly. I am natively from Sweden, so I use GPT to help translate and write product descriptions. I also will sometimes use GPT to write better English logs. Majority of my Free plugins are open source, so you can review the code yourself and freely fork and edit it to your liking.
